AI as a training partner:
your methods as prompts

Artificial intelligence does not decide in the leader's place. It offers a training ground: a space to rehearse a difficult conversation, test a turn of phrase, refine an intention, before living it for real. The finest leadership methods then become prompts.

Rehearse before you act

A delicate piece of feedback, a sensitive delegation, a disagreement to name: often you get only one shot. AI lets you play it first, as many times as you need. It takes on the other person's role, reacts as a real person would, and reflects back what landed and what went astray. The principle is simple: the method first, AI second, to set it in motion.

KSS as a prompt: Keep, Stop, Start

KSS frames feedback in three movements: what to continue (Keep), to end (Stop), to begin (Start). To prepare it with an AI, a single prompt is enough:

"You are a supportive yet demanding peer. Help me prepare feedback in the Keep, Stop, Start format for a team member who [situation]. First ask me three questions to pin down the facts, then propose concrete wording for each movement, factual and oriented towards the future."

The result is clear, well-prepared feedback, with nothing left but to embody it.

Coaching as a prompt: the GROW method

The GROW method runs a coaching conversation in four movements: the goal, the reality, the options, then the will to act. You can hand it to an AI to coach yourself through a decision:

"Coach me using the GROW method on [my decision]. Ask me one question at a time: first my goal, then the reality as it is, then my options, and finally what I decide to do. Don't give me the answer, help me find my own."

The AI does not settle the matter for you: it opens the way, as a coach would.

Delegation as a prompt: adjust the autonomy

Delegating to an AI follows the same rule as with a person: you match the instruction to the degree of autonomy you want. For a precise result, frame it tightly. To be surprised and open the field, delegate more broadly, through powerful questions:

"I'm delegating [the task] to you. Don't limit yourself to what I ask: first put three powerful questions to me that challenge my framing, then propose two approaches I wouldn't have thought of."

The precision of the delegation decides what the AI gives back to you: execution, or thought.

OSBD as a prompt: Observation, Feeling, Need, Request

OSBD, drawn from Nonviolent Communication, defuses tension in four movements: the observation of facts, the feeling, the need, then the request. As a prompt:

"Rewrite this message in the OSBD format: a factual observation without judgment, the feeling, the need, then a clear and negotiable request. Flag the accusatory 'you' statements to turn into 'I'. Starting message: [your draft]."

The AI turns a reproach into an invitation, without changing its substance.

Keep, Stop, Start for feedback, GROW for coaching, OSBD for tensions: every leadership model can become a prompt. A whole catalogue of practices, a conversation away.

The golden rule: the human at the centre

AI prepares, the human decides. It replaces neither presence nor the courage of the conversation: it makes them more precise. And because these are sensitive matters, the place matters: our instruments keep your exchanges in Switzerland, shielded from the major artificial-intelligence engines.

Where to begin

Our Sparring agent is precisely that training partner. It knows your strengths and the method of the house, sets the scene and plays the other role, then tells you how to aim truer the next time. The prompt becomes a practice, and the practice a reflex.

"AI does not decide for you. It trains you to decide better."
